Three Arrested In String Of Bank Robberies; One Remains At Large

Three men are now behind bars and one remains at large accused in a string of armed robberies. .

American National Bank, ENT Federal Credit Union and TCF Bank were all hit between late February and early May. Police say two of the suspects were caught after fleeing the scene and it was the pattern of these robberies that led them to two other suspects.

Kameo Jackson, 19, was arrested as he fled the scene after allegedly robbing TCF Bank, at 4330 N. Academy Blvd, on May 6 at gunpoint. He has also been charged for his involvement in three additional holdups of local banks.

Shawn Sample, 19, was also arrested and charged as an accessory in that robbery.

Corey Nicholas Elenga, 24, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Wesley Harrison Dunmire, 20, remains at large. He is 5’11” tall and 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Dunmire is known to always carry handguns, and has made statements indicating he will fight or shoot it out with police. If Dunmire is spotted, he should not be approached. He is wanted for armed bank robbery. Dunmire was seen in Colorado Springs as recently as the week of May 9. To see a photo of Dunmire, click on the Photos link above.

The following bank robberies have been connected to the group.

The two robberies of the American National Bank located at 3755 Briargate Blvd. that took place on February 28 and March 28.
The ENT Federal Credit Union located at 2336 N. Wahsatch that was robbed on April 5.

The American National Bank, located at 1095 Garden of the Gods Rd., was robbed on April 20.

The TCF bank located at 4330 N. Academy Blvd that was robbed on May 6.
