Nearly $23,000 in jewelry have gone missing from a store in Pueblo. Now, police are hoping the public can assist in locating the suspects believed to be behind the theft.

On June 8, a Middle Eastern man and woman were seen browsing in the Carleo Creations Jewelry Store. Employees got busy with other customers as the couple wandered the store; it wasn't until all of the customers left that employees realized a necklace, wide Baguette and two rings had been stolen.

Surveillance video reveals the couple opening the display case and taking the items inside.

The man has been described as 55 years old with salt and pepper hair, 5-foot-10 or 5-foot-11, weighing about 160 pounds. Police say he was wearing black jeans and a white dress shirt while in the store.

The woman is also believed to be in her 50s, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 in height and weighing in the range of 150-160 pounds. She has long black hair, and was wearing a long black dress with green on the side. Both have been described by employees as having bad teeth.

Employees tell police that an older woman and two people in their 20s, also Middle Eastern, entered the store shortly before the couple did. The group, which spoke in a foreign language the entire time they were in the store, is also thought to be connected to the jewelry theft.

The older woman has been described as being in her mid-to-late 70s, about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 in height, weighing 150 pounds and wearing a sweater.

Her companions, a man and woman, are believed to be in their early 20s. The man has been described as 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, wearing a white shirt with aviator sunglasses attached. The woman is described as standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-7, weighing 120 pounds and wearing aviator sunglasses while in the store.

Anyone with information on this crime, or any of the suspects, is asked to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP.
