Police are armed with only a description of a man who allegedly shot a seventeen year old victim in the leg Monday night.

CSPD reports the teenager was brought to Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle. The teenager told officers he was walking in the 1100 block of Verde Drive when an unknown man approached him and asked for a cigarette. The teen replied that he didn’t have one, and the stranger pulled out a handgun and shot at the teen as he ran away.

The teenager was hit in the leg, but the injury was not life threatening. He was treated and released a Memorial Hospital.

The suspect was described as a white male in his twenties, approximately 6'1" to 6'2" tall with a thin build. The suspect had a light brown colored goatee and was wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes.
