Suspect Remains At Large After Failed Robbery

A convenience store clerk was left unharmed after a man attempted to rob the store during the overnight shift.

The man was reportedly armed when he walked into the Western Convenience on Fillmore and demanded cash from the register. Police say when he didn't get any cash, he left the area.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-2 with a thin to average build, dressed in all black. His face was concealed by a ski mask.

The Western Convenience is located on 227 W. Fillmore, between Nevada and I-25 in Colorado Springs.

If you have any information that can help police, you are asked to call CSPD at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
