Police in Thornton are asking for help identifying a person who allegedly tried to abduct a woman outside a Walmart store.
Police say the woman noticed the man was following her inside the Walmart at 9901 Grant Street around 9:30 p.m. on January 3. After she left the store, the man followed her to her car and confronted her.
He allegedly grabbed her arm, showed her he had a handgun and told her to get into the vehicle.
The woman yelled for help and several bystanders in the parking lot responded.
The man walked east and out of the parking lot.
The suspect is described as 25-35 years of age, approximately six feet tall, weighing two hundred to two hundred twenty pounds. He has short blond hair, balding, and was wearing thin wire eye glasses. The suspect was wearing dark colored heavy winter coat, black t-shirt, white tennis shoes, and blue jeans.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Metro Area Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
