Surveillance Images Released Of Robbery Suspect

Police have released surveillance video of the man allegedly behind a robbery at a Diamond Shamrock on May 7.

Officers say the suspect approached the clerk holding a liquor bottle over his head, making her believe he was going to hit her. The clerk shoved the suspect and then locked herself into the office.

While sitting inside the office, the clerk watched the suspect on surveillance video as he allegedly stole cigarettes and tried to open the register.

The suspect has been described as a white male in his 40s, 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds, with dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing a dark gray t-shirt and gray jacket with a black collar, jeans and brown shoes at the time of the robbery.

The robbery took place at a Diamond Shamrock on the 1700 block of S. Nevada in Colorado Springs.
