Authorities say the suspect in an armed robbery Friday night may have been sporting a noticeable hat.

The suspect who robbed a southeast Springs Subway restaurant was reportedly wearing an orange hunting hat while committing the crime.

Beyond the distinct hat, officers have little else to go on in way of a description. All they know right now is that the suspect was a 6-foot-tall, 30-year-old black male.

Police say the suspect walked in to the 2499 S. Academy location at 9:45 a.m. carrying a gun, and stole an unknown amount of cash. Officers searched the area, but were unable to find him.

If you have any information on this robbery, you are asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
