A warning for parents about reports of a flasher spotted near a Colorado Springs high school.

Palmer High School

Three students reported seeing a man expose and touch himself near Palmer High School, District 11 reports.

“That’s not okay, that’s not okay”, said Palmer High School Junior Alexis Losolla.

According to the district’s spokesperson, the students described the suspect as a white male in his 20s.

The encounter took place on Cheyenne Ave., which intersects North Weber Street at East Boulder Street, just east of the school. Students tell 11 News that some juniors were in a parking lot diagonal from the school when the incident happened.

Police say the man was in his car as he was exposing himself and touching himself.

"She kind of freaked out and everyone was asking her why she as freaking out,” said Losolla.

Students who heard about the flasher called the incident shocking and disturbing, saying that nothing quite like this has happened so close to the school before.

"I don't think it's right that it happened so close to a school at all. I think that's kind of weird and freaky but stuff happens and you just got to be able to deal with it,” said Palmer High School junior Jake Kosecielecki.

The district also says that CSPD officers did respond to investigate the report.

CSPD confirms that they were sent to that area around 1:15 p.m. to investigate. They say they're looking for an older gold Ford sedan with an unknown license plate number.

The flasher was described as being about 20 years old, medium height and skinny build with brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt and khaki pants.

Police weren't able to find the man, but if he is caught and convicted he would have to register as a sex offender.

District 11 says they take the matter seriously and will continue to keep an eye out. However, classes end on Friday.
