Police are searching for the men responsible for an armed robbery on the east side of the Springs early Thursday morning.

The victim was in a parking lot on the 2800 block of East Platte, near the intersection of Platte and North Circle, when an SUV pulled up beside him and his friends. Two of three occupants of the SUV got out and threatened the victims with guns, demanding money and personal items.

The victims were eventually able to escape the crooks, with three running away on foot while the fourth drove off.

The first suspect, who was carrying a shotgun, is described as a 50-year-old white man with gray hair, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall with a medium build.

The second suspect, who was carrying a handgun, is described as a white man in his 30s, bald and thin, approximately 6 feet tall.

The third suspect never got out of the vehicle, but the victims got a good enough look at him to provide a description. He is said to be a Hispanic man in his early 20s, with dark hair.
