Springs Liquor Store Robbed

By: KKTV
By: KKTV

It was a frightening moment Sunday night for employees and patrons of a Springs liquor store, when three suspects entered the store waving around a handgun and demanding cash.

No one was injured, but the suspects got away with a cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

The suspects were all wearing dark hoodies with their faces concealed by bandanas, making it difficult for witnesses to discern many identifying traits. Police do know the three were all men, heights ranging between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-2.

The robbery occurred about 11:15 p.m. Sunday at Circle Liquor on the 400 block of South Circle Drive.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 444-7000, or call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP if you wish to remain anonymous.

Were they the traditional Colorado Springs hoodie type? Extra pointy, bleached sheet material with heavy starch? Maybe they needed money to take their sisters out for a good time... or maybe they just needed money for gas... to soak their cross in... nothing like a romantic fire to make a move on their sister. Yep, good ol' Colorado Springs.

These booze shops do nothing but bring trouble. What if there were a child nearby when this happened? The sky is falling!

Personally, I wouldn't have my child in a liquor store (especially at 11:15PM) but that's just me.

Yes, these businesses ask to be robbed. They ask criminals to come around. By your logic Walmart brings trouble, 7-11s bring trouble, banks bring trouble, etc. Children are more likely to be around these establishments than a liquor store meant for patrons over the age of 21 at 11pm. You should uninstall the Internet.

One of them looked just like Obamas son, if he were to have one.
