A man held up a pizza place in broad daylight Friday afternoon, getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Now, police are searching for the suspect.
According to officers, the suspect walked into the Papa Murphy's on 2460 S. Academy in Colorado Springs around 1:15 p.m. and ordered a female employee at gunpoint to empty the register. After receiving money from a second employee, the suspect left the area. He was last seen traveling westbound on Astrozon.
The suspect has been described as a white male in his mid 30s, 6 feet tall and weighing between 230-240 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a gray button-down shirt, jeans and a green baseball cap at the time of the robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
