Police are now searching for the person responsible.
The victim was walking home around 10 p.m. Sunday near Chelton and Bijou when the suspect approached him and demanded all his belongings. The victim was later taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect has been described as an Hispanic man, age unknown, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with a medium build. He was reportedly wearing black shorts and gray or tan t-shirt at the time of the robbery.
