Gunfire at a Springs apartment complex is under investigation.
A resident at the Citadel Apartments who had been away at the time shots were heard tells 11 News she wasn't able to get back into the complex Thursday evening while police were on scene.
Police say they received several calls around 6:40 p.m. about shots being fired at the complex, which is located near Galley and Academy.
Witnesses told police that a man on the third floor of one of the buildings was exchanging fire with occupants of a vehicle. Afterwards, the vehicle exited onto Galley Road, while the man ran north.
Police have not been able to locate any potential suspects, and received limited descriptions from witnesses. The vehicle was described as being small and white. Witnesses did not get a description of the people inside. The man shooting back was seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie. His age and race are unknown.
Two apartments were damaged by bullets. One vehicle was also hit by a bullet.
