A man involved in a road rage incident remains in critical condition in the hospital. The search for the suspect has intensified and the charges increased to attempted murder.
Police said this happened Saturday morning near the 5500 block of North academy.
That's just south of Vickers on the north side of Colorado Springs.
Springs Police said they were called there for a hit and run accident. When they got on scene, they saw a 30-year-old man was badly injured. He was rushed to the hospital.
After an on-scene investigation, police said the man was hurt on purpose and possibly stemmed from a road rage incident.
Witnesses told police the suspect’s truck was a 2010-2012 Toyota Tundra sky blue in color.
They gave us a photo of several blue-like colors the truck could be. Investigators said the pickup might also have an out of state license plate and a rainbow sticker near or on the plate.
There's not much of a description of the driver, but police said he's a white man in his late 20s-early 30s with long dark hair.
