Robbery Suspect Flees Scene

Police and a K-9 team have been unable to locate the man behind an armed robbery at a Springs 7-Eleven early Sunday morning.

Threatening the clerk with a gun, the suspect demanded money, and fled the premises once the clerk complied. A perimeter was set up around the store, but a K-9 team was unable to track the suspect down. The robbery occurred just before 5 a.m.

The suspect has been described as a black man dressed in dark clothing, his face concealed by a mask. It's unknown how much money he got away with. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call police, or call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

The 7-Eleven is located on the 2300 block of South Hancock Expressway.

So funny a hardcore Republican like Nath obviously voted down a tax increase to help fund the police years ago. And then you say the police need more bloodhounds. You are the reason to blame for this problem so I don't know why you are complaining. Get a clue.

The CSPD K9 dogs do a good job of bringing down fleeing suspects when they have them in sight but aren't qualified for tracking. The CSPD needs to invest in a couple of Bloodhounds.
