The arrest of a man suspected of robbing and firing shots at a local barber shop may have cracked open several other crimes.

Colorado Springs police say 30-year-old Eric Chevalier was arrested for the October 30 robbery of Celebrity Barber Shop at 3281 S. Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs. Chevalier fired two shots during the robbery but no one was injured.

Follow-up investigation led to the execution of two search warrants on November 30. Evidence was obtained that led investigators to more crimes, including a home invasion on October 23 at 2610 Serendipity Circle West.

Justin Van Pelt, 32, was arrested for that case; a second suspect was involved but has not yet been identified.

Police say more arrests are anticipated in the home invasion case and other crimes, as a result of this investigation.
