Man Who Allegedly Exposed Himself Still Not Caught

The witness, who asked not to be named, tells 11 News the man flashed an elderly lady and some children Sunday evening. As of Monday night, Colorado Springs police say the man hasn't been caught. He gave police a license plate number of a car that may be associated with the flasher.

The witness saw the man exposing himself at a dirt track next to West Elementary School on Sunday afternoon. He was driving with a friend at the time. "Then he started swinging it at the old lady, and she decided to leave with her dog,” he said. “We flipped around to double check, and we noticed he was exposing himself to the public."

The witness and his friend followed the man as he walked to another park. He called police. According to him, the flasher later got into a car with his friends; they were driving a black Toyota with a damaged front end. "I reported the license plate to the police officers," he said.

11 News followed up with police on Monday to see if an arrest had been made. They say they weren't able to tell us what has been done, if anything, to track down the flasher or if they had looked for the car.

"If that's true, than that's great," Gary Jensen, who lives near the school, said. "Then they have something to follow up on. So...in that case, I would expect them to hand it over to the detectives."

The witness says he's concerned that police aren't doing enough. "I have two little kids, and if they were in the car... he was just right there on the street with no cares whatsoever,” he said.

11 News will continue to dig deeper on this story and will let you know if police make any arrests.

So? Does the guy recently caught for exposing himself look like the creep the witness in this story saw and contacted authorities?

Was he wearing a hawian shirt?

The police will not do anything to find this guy nor help in any other "crime fighting" because these activities do not generate city revenue. Let's all stop being naive, the police only work when they can issue a ticket that generates $$$. Investigating murders, flashers, actually doing something to make the city safer, all cost money and don't generate money. Simple as that...

I hope they catch him before he does it in front of a child. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. I cannot believe that the older woman didn't call either. Maybe if she had, the police would take this more seriously. Sometimes these things are done as a prank, but unfortunately, in the times we live in I am not willing to wait until someone is hurt.

Years ago in law enforcement we didn't take this all that seriously. We then learned flashing is a 'first step,' and that the next step may well be to grab a kid. Hopefully our local officers find this guy before the worse happens. Because it very well could.

@ Question...don't be such an idiot...wait, the "question might be the flasher. Police Officers rather just sit on the side of the road and catch speeders going 5-10mph over the speed limit than actually finding someone. Colorado Springs Police are lazy bums. Their are kids being bullied and they rather not do anything about that either. Nothing gets done until something serious happens. The flasher has to be found by a citizen in order for him to be in prison.

Shouldn't the news people gather more information with law enforcement? This is a serious crime on school grounds.

So what are police and elementary school people doing about this? Why is only one citizen trying to make a difference and protect others?

@JOHNNY There is no doubt that this "exposer" is a sick pervert. But to say that "most" homosexuals behave that way is just wrong. I have many friends who are gay and NONE of them behave that way.
