Police Searching For Walgreens Robber


Police are searching for the man responsible for a robbery at a Springs Walgreens.

According to police, around 8 a.m. Wednesday, a man walked into a Walgreens on South Chelton threatening that he had a gun. Although no weapon was seen, he managed to get away with prescription medication. The suspect did not demand cash.

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic man in his 30s with a medium to heavy build, wearing a blue hoodie.

Anyone with any information about this crime are asked to call Crimestoppers at 634-STOP.

    Now that is a stretch! Assuming this has to do with the US health care system...wow. Maybe he's just a thug trying to make easy money (in his mind). While I agree with you on the state of our health care system, your theory is pretty far fetched. A better one would link this crime to the state of our economy.

    @nurse...Bubba thinks he stole Viagra. At least, that's what he would take. It's the only thing worth going to jail for. Especially if you're going to use a gun...very bad thing to do.

    I'm betting this guy was after opiate pain medicine...IMO, this is a direct result of too many MDs, PAs and NPs over-prescribing narcotics for people's pain instead of providing education on pain management and taking the time to educate patients about less invasive treatments of pain. Guess if our healthcare was actually adequate in this country, our medical professionals would actually have time to care for our patients rather than just scribble a script...NEWSFLASH people: you don't always need a pill to fix the problem!!!
