A teenager shows up at Memorial Hospital with injuries from a baseball bat and now police are looking for the assailants.
Police were called to Memorial Hospital around 1:30 a.m. Thursday after a juvenile showed up with injuries from being hit in the head with a baseball bat. The teen told police that he had gone to an apartment in the 1400 block of Potter Drive with a friend to play video games with another friend, and was suddenly struck in the head with a bat as he reached the top of the stairs.
The victim told police he ran outside and was suddenly confronted by the suspect again, along with at least two other suspects who began to hit and kick him.
The victim was able to get away and was later taken to the hospital. He did not sustain any serious injuries and was released from the hospital.
At this time there is very limited suspect descriptions. All suspects were reportedly wearing dark colored clothing with something covering their faces.
Officers are continuing the investigation but at this time, but they say this does not appear to be a random act of violence.
