Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
Police are searching for a man seen masturbating at a playground on the east side of the Springs Thursday morning.
The initial report suggested that children were present at the time, but police say Friday that it does not appear to be the case.
The man was seen near the playground of Roosevelt Edison Charter School, located at 205 Byron Drive, around 11 a.m. Thursday. As he drove away, a witness began following him while calling police. Officers told the witness to stop the pursuit.
Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. He was last seen leaving Byron Drive in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds, sandy blond hair. At the time of the incident, the suspect was seen wearing a dark shirt and black shorts. Police initially said that the suspect was driving a 4-door Grand Am, but have since changed the vehicle's description to a dark gray Dodge Stratus.
The school's administration has been notified.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police at 444-7000, or call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP to remain anonymous.
