A woman has been arrested after causing a disturbance in a Springs grocery store parking lot.

Police received reports that the suspect attempted to hit a woman in a King Soopers parking lot on the 1700 block of W. Uintah just before 9 a.m. Sunday. The suspect, identified as 59-year-old Pamela Hines, then followed the victim out of the parking lot, according to police.

The victim later returned to King Soopers to finish shopping, and saw Hines confronting a different individual in the parking lot. Police were called to the scene; Officer Mark Beck arrived and attempted to approach Hines, who drove off. She was tracked down to the 2800 block of W. Colorado, where she was ordered to get out of the vehicle. After refusing to comply with officer commands, police say Beck used a flashlight to break a window, but Hines still managed to drive away.

Hines was later tracked to the Walmart on the 700 block of S. 8th St., where she was arrested on charges of attempted second degree assault and felony eluding.

What's your point Greg? The woman was in her car and the officer approached on foot. She obviously is disturbed to be confrontational with more than one stranger in a parking lot and to disobey an officer's order. She is lucky she didn't get shot! The officer had no idea what he might be dealing with. I live in that neighborhood and shop at that store so I'm just glad they caught the psycho! The police have always responded quickly in this area.

A 59 year-old woman got away from police? Twice? Was she that good?
