Police Looking For Robbery Suspect

A store clerk was threatened and robbed by a man wielding a hypodermic needle while working an overnight shift at a Springs 7-Eleven. Police are now looking for the suspect.

At 3:13 a.m. Saturday, the victim called police after the suspect left the store premises with money and two packs of cigarettes. Police soon arrived at the store on the 1800 block of S. Nevada with a K-9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was not injured in the robbery.

The suspect has been described as Hispanic and about 45 years old, with black hair and a mustache. He is reportedly 6-foot-1 with a thin build, and was wearing jeans, a checkered flannel shirt and a dark blue baseball cap at the time of the robbery. Anyone with any information about the suspect or this robbery is asked to call police at 444-7000 or call Crimestoppers at 634-STOP.
