Police arrested the suspect in a Circle K robbery Thursday morning, when he was caught driving a stolen vehicle. The suspect is now believed to be responsible for two more robberies and a carjacking.

Police say that a male suspect, described as a black man in his late 20s or early 30s, stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a Circle K on the 6500 block of South Academy around 9 a.m. Wednesday. The suspect, who was armed, walked in and demanded money from an employee, who complied with the order. The suspect then left on foot.

The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Vernon McKinnie, was found Thursday morning driving a vehicle reported carjacked. McKinnie fled from police, but later surrendered. Police say McKinnie may be responsible for the carjacking, the robbery at the Circle K, and robberies at a Loaf n' Jug and Dunkin Donuts, all on Wednesday.

I believe that if you check the history of our department, you'll find our clearance rates for major crimes among the top in the nation. Or, you can sit there and bad mouth everyone and be ignorant of the facts, like your similarly uninformed compadres..

WOW- here's an idea. Pick up a weapon and join them in fighting crime. They can't be everywhere at once and when you compare manpower stat's COS is behind most major departments.

First, CSPD does an awesome job. They caught the group robbing convenience stores last year and I have all the faith in the world they will do it again. Second, convenience stores are so very easy to be robbed and a little tip for all those who do work in convenience stores...your life is priceless, be compliant and do what they say, don't fight them. Use what you have available to get help.

Here's an idea. How about the police officers putting there little pea brains to work and catch this thug. Oh wait, I forgot. Our police department is useless and worthless and flat out lazy. They would rather sit in there squad car behind a radar gun.
