Stephan Wilson was found dead, killed by a gunshot wound, in 2010 and police are still treating it as an open investigation. CSPD is renewing a request for help with this investigation.
Wilson’s body was found at approximately 10 a.m. on October 1, 2010 in an apartment at 6590 Del Monico Dr. It was the same apartment that officers had received a noise complaint about the night before. Those officers were unable to get anyone to answer the door during their first visit to the apartment.
His former neighbor is asking anyone with information on who killed the man known to some as "Too Tall" to step forward.
She remembers a lot of commotion when police found Wilson, just 32, dead.
"I peeked in the window, and I saw the pool of blood,” Maya Papke said. “I didn't tell my kids."
Papke tells 11 News she watched in horror as the body, shot "execution style," was taken away.
The homicide shook the quiet community at the Rockrimmon Condominiums. Papke wants the crime solved "because the family needs peace...to find out who killed their son. He was a nice guy."
