Police Arrest Suspect For Stealing From Olympic Athlete

Within a day of releasing surveillance photos of a suspect who used stolen credit cards, police received a tip that led them to an arrest.

CSPD says the tip led them to Elias Matos. At his address, officers found a stolen van used in the crime and numerous pieces of stolen property.

Among the recovered items was a competition air pistol belonging to Olympian Robert Bremer. According to police, the rifle and credit cards were stolen from Bremer's car while it was parked at a local park. A laptop was also stolen.

Elias Matos was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing, identity theft and theft by receiving.
