Police Issue Notifications Of 2 Sex Offenders In Springs

The Colorado Springs Police Department is notifying the community of two sexually violent predators who have changed addresses within the city.

These men are two of the 11 sexually violent predators currently residing in the Springs.

Wesley Leroy Lehmkuhl, 65, was convicted in El Paso County 15 years ago on charges of sexual assault on a child by someone in a position of trust. His victim was a 13-year-old-girl.

He has also been convicted of failure to register as a sex offender, driving while impaired (two charges) and traffic offenses. He is not on parole or probation at this time.

Lehmkuhl is currently registered at 2237 East Boulder Street #10 Colorado Springs. He is described as being a white male, 5-foot-10, 140 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

Another sexually violent predator, Lloyd Leonard Herrera, has also moved to a new address in Colorado Springs and is under probation supervision.

Herrera, 39, was convicted of attempted sexual assault on a child in Jefferson County in 2005. He's also been convicted of third-degree assault, criminal possession of a financial transaction device, theft, sexual assault with a 10-year age difference and failure to register as a sex offender in 2007, 2010 and 2012.

Herrera is registered and residing at 1411 South Nevada Avenue #44, Colorado Springs,. He is described as being a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, 275 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
