Police Seeking Public's Help In Locating Bank Robbery Suspect

A man managed to slip away from a security guard after trying to rob a Colorado Springs bank.

Police are hoping the public can help locate the suspect.

The suspect entered the Security Service Federal Credit Union on 1910 N. Academy at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and immediately flashed a note demanding cash.

Police say a security guard tried to apprehend the suspect, but he was able to get away.

The suspect has been described as a 6-foot-tall black man, medium build, wearing a cap and sunglasses. A surveillance photo of the suspect has been provided.
