Colorado Springs Police are on the lookout for a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman early Wednesday morning.

Police say the woman was house sitting near South Circle Dr. and Hancock Expressway, when the assault took place. Around 2:30 a.m., a man knocked on her door. After a brief conversation, the man forced his way into the house, assaulted the victim and then sexually assaulted her.

The man stole some of the victim’s personal belonging, and then took off.

The man is described as black, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, weighing between 160 and 170 lbs. He was dressed in a black t-shirt, dark blue jeans with a stud-type earring in his right ear. The man has short hair and a stubbly beard with possible acne scars.
