Colorado Springs Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday near North Chestnut Street and Holland Park Boulevard.

Police say they have the shooting suspect in custody.

They say it all began as a traffic accident behind the Chestnut Hills apartments. Officers say there was a fight between two men when one of them was shot.

Police say the victim was shot in the arm. He took off, but was later located. He may have been driving a stolen vehicle when the crash happened.

11 News spoke to a resident of the apartment complex who said she knows the man who was shot and he came banging on her door after the shooting.

She said his arm and hand was covered with blood and he was begging her not to call 911 before he ran off.

No names have been released.
