A woman took matters into her own hands Thursday night after she was robbed at a Colorado Springs Walmart.

Police say she tried following the suspect after he left the area.

The woman had just finished shopping at the Walmart on Palmer Park and Powers, and was loading up her car when a man suddenly approached her from behind. Though he never actually showed a weapon, he kept his hands in his pockets as though he might be carrying one as he demanded cash from the victim. The woman complied and he drove off.

That's when the victim and her friend decide to start tracking him.

The victim followed the suspect for several miles before losing him near the Walmart at Platte and Chelton.

Police say the suspect is a white man in his 20s, with brown hair, standing about 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He was wearing a black and white hoodie and gray sweats at the time of the robbery. The victim described his vehicle as a white Toyota Tacoma truck with New Mexico plates.

If you have information that can help police track down the suspect, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
