Police Investigating Carjacking In Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police are looking for a man suspected of stealing an SUV at gunpoint Saturday afternoon.

At about 4 p.m. police were called to Palmer Park Boulevard and Potter Drive to investigate a reported carjacking. The driver of a Subaru Outback told police a man threatened him with a gun and stole the SUV.

The Subaru is black with Wyoming license plates. The plate number is 516561.

The suspect is described as a black man between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7 with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hoodie and black pants.

Police said late Saturday the investigation into the theft is ongoing. If you have any information, call Springs police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
