Police Identify Bank Robbery Suspect

Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly robbed a bank in downtown Colorado Springs.

Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a downtown bank.

Robert Hayes Jr. allegedly robbed the ABC Bank located at 434 South Tejon St. in Colorado Springs May 15.

Police put out a photo and description of Hayes Tuesday afternoon asking for help locating him, and announced his arrest a short time later.

They say detectives spotted him on the 1600 block of S. Nevada Ave. Hayes reportedly ran away, but was caught after a short chase.

He was arrested on warrants for trespass and failure to appear in court on an unrelated bank robbery charge in the Denver area.
