Man Poses As Shopper, Robs Clerk At Check-Out

A popular shopping spot is now a crime scene.

Kohl’s off of Circle and I-25 was robbed Sunday night.

The crook walked in sometime around 6 p.m. Purporting to be a shopper, police say he browsed the store, selected a shirt, and then waited in line. Once it was his turn to check out, the suspect pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. After the clerk complied, he took off running in a westbound direction.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, about 5-foot-8, wearing a dark hoodie and sweat pants. He reportedly has light-colored blotches of skin on his face. Various witnesses have described him as being skinny to medium-built.

11 News has requested surveillance video or pictures, but they are not yet available.

If you know anything about this robbery, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

Figuring the take on an average register, this idiot could have gotten a Kohl's card, bought thousands in jewelry and electronics, pawned them, and bailed on the card- all with less risk of punishment than robbing the place. Since Kohl's a;ways wants to cram a card down your throat (which is why checkout takes so long), it would serve them right.

Why is it almost every crime in Pueblo and Colorado Springs is done by someone wearing a dark hoodie? There's the problem!
