A popular shopping spot is now a crime scene.
Kohl’s off of Circle and I-25 was robbed Sunday night.
The crook walked in sometime around 6 p.m. Purporting to be a shopper, police say he browsed the store, selected a shirt, and then waited in line. Once it was his turn to check out, the suspect pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. After the clerk complied, he took off running in a westbound direction.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, about 5-foot-8, wearing a dark hoodie and sweat pants. He reportedly has light-colored blotches of skin on his face. Various witnesses have described him as being skinny to medium-built.
11 News has requested surveillance video or pictures, but they are not yet available.
