They were willing to shoot at somebody--all over a pack of cigarettes.
Police say a Springs man was attacked Thursday night after he refused to share a cigarette with two strangers, who approached the victim while he stood in the parking lot of an apartment complex on 1000 block of S. Chelton, near Fountain in Colorado Springs.
One of the suspects hit the victim, knocking him to the ground. As the victim laid on the asphalt, the suspects went through his pockets and stole his pack of cigarettes.
Before running off, the suspects then fired a gunshot at the victim, narrowly missing him. Police say the victim's car window was shattered instead.
The suspects have been described as two black men, ages unknown. The first suspect was reportedly tall, thin and dressed in dark clothing. The second suspect was described as shorter and heavier than his companion, and was reportedly wearing a red jacket.
