Man Robs Springs Convenience Store In Halloween Mask

Face concealed with a Halloween mask and armed with a gun, a man robbed a southeast side Diamond Shamrock early Monday morning.

According to Springs police, the suspect entered the convenience store at 1740 Jet Wing just before 2:40 a.m. and headed straight for the clerk. Holding a gun in his hand, the suspect ordered the clerk to open the register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect ran away from the area.

A K-9 team searched the surrounding area, following the suspect's footprints, but were unsuccessful in locating him.

The suspect has been described as a black man with a medium build, wearing a gray sweatshirt and a skull mask at the time of the robbery. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 444-7000 or call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
