A man was forced out of his car and ordered to lie down on the road while three suspects rummaged through his vehicle, stealing anything they could find.

Once they finished going through the car, the suspects fled the area.

According to police, the robbery took place at 1:33 a.m. Thursday on the 2600 block of East Dale, located in the area of Circle and Platte in Colorado Springs. The victim was parked when two suspects, surrounding him on either side of the vehicle, pulled open the driver and passenger doors. The suspect on the driver's side ordered the victim out at gunpoint and forced him on the ground.

The victim told police that while he was on the ground, he spotted a third suspect, who may have also been armed.

The victim could only describe the first suspect, who opened his passenger side door. This suspect is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall with a thin build.

The other two suspects are also believed to be black men. All three suspects were wearing dark clothing, possibly dark-colored hoodies or sweatshirts. They left the area in a westbound direction.
