A man was gone from his home for just 10 minutes, but that's all the time two crooks needed to steal thousands of dollars in valuables.
It happened in a neighborhood in the Security-Widefield area Monday.
When Vincent returned from buying a lottery ticket, he saw a car pulling out of his driveway with a woman behind the wheel. Then he saw another woman leaving his house, arms full of stolen stuff.
Vincent said he chased after that woman, who dropped some of the stolen items as she fled, but was ultimately able to get away.
When Vincent returned home, he discovered his back door was busted in. A laptop and $1,400 worth of jewelry were all missing.
The suspect vehicle has been described as a powder blue 4-door Chevy Caprice. No information on the two women has been made available. If you have any information about this burglary, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP or the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
