Police are looking for a crook, armed with a gun, who robbed a local liquor store.

Colorado Springs police say it happened around 8 p.m. Sunday at the KS Liquor Store on South Academy near Chelton.

The robber reportedly demanded cash, but the clerk, at first, refused to give the robber the money.

Police say that's when the crook started getting physical with the employee, and shoved the employee.

Officers say the thief was able to open the register and get away with some money.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s. Witnesses say he was wearing a red St. Louis Cardinal's baseball cap, a baggy polo, and baggy jean shorts.

If you have any information that may help police find this suspect, call Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867). Your anonymous tip could earn you a cash reward.
