The latest bank robbery in Colorado Springs could just be one in a string of robberies committed by the same person.
Police tell 11 News the suspect in Monday's robbery at the American National Bank on Briargate Boulevard could be the same person who targeted other banks this summer.
Officers were called to the scene just before 2:30 p.m. on reports of a robbery in progress. The suspect had fled the area before police got to the bank.
The suspect has been described as a white man between 20 and 30 years old, at least 5-foot-7, wearing a beige sweater, beige pants and jeans. A suspect with a similar description has been involved in several other bank robberies over the past few months.
