Two men impersonating police invaded the home of a 60-year-old Colorado Springs man Wednesday night.
The victim told officers that around 9:20 p.m., he heard a knock at his door. Before he had the chance to answer, someone outside yelled “Police!” and then two men barged into his home at 1015 Bowser Drive.
The men, carrying semi-automatic weapons, forced the victim to lie face down on the floor. They questioned the victim about a person the victim was unfamiliar with, referencing a drug deal. Not getting the information they apparently came for, the pair left the home, leaving the victim unharmed and not stealing anything. Police believe the suspects may have gone to the wrong address.
The suspects have been described as black men in their early-to-mid 30s. Both are around 5-foot-10 and medium build. They were wearing baseball hats, dark pants and gray jackets. One of the jackets may have had “Police” on it. The suspects left the home on foot, and have not been located.
Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at 634-STOP.
