A lone gunman got away with cash stolen from a liquor store late Tuesday night. Officers searched the area but couldn’t find him.
Police say the suspect entered Lake Liquors at 501 S. Union Blvd. around 11:50 p.m. He pointed the handgun at an employee and demanded the money.
After the employee handed cash over, police say the suspect ran out of the store and headed southwest.
Employees tell 11 News the liquor store was robbed back in January. Ben Johnson was working that night, and says he worries about his safety at work.
"It's just gonna happen over and over until Colorado changes its laws," said Johnson.
Johnson believes it's the same crook that keeps coming back and demanding cash.
All his actions were the same. He was dressed basically the same, except he had a different colored bandanna this time," said Johnson.
The suspect in the most recent case is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s. He was approximately 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over his face.
