Fight Outside Nightclub Leads To Stabbing

One person remains hospitalized after three people were stabbed outside a Springs nightclub early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to Southside Johnnies on the 500 block of S. Tejon St. after a large fight broke out. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the fight had begun inside the club, and then moved outside after one group was kicked out. The second group in the fight left the nightclub through the back door and met the first group in the street on East Moreno, where the fight resumed, leading to three people getting stabbed. All were taken to the hospital; one was seriously injured and remains hospitalized in stable condition. The other two victims were released after being treated for the injuries.

Police are still investigating the incident. No arrests have been made, and no suspect information has been provided at this time. Anyone with any information about this incident are asked to call police at 444-7000, or call Crimestoppers at 634-STOP to remain anonymous.

I have to say that no matter where you live there will always be violence. Yes, people sometimes do not make the most wise decisions when they are intoxicated but that does not make the city a bad place to live. As for what happened, just be thankful that no one died and stop arguing about petty little things such as who owns what bar. It does not matter and never will.

I've worked all the clubs in town (musician) for the past 5 years. There has always been a group of knuckleheads that migrate from club to club...when they get pushed out of one they move on to another. Remember the club Icon? 13 Pure? This has nothing to do with ownership.

Is it just me, or does anyone else sense the same thing? Our once fine city is going to the dogs. Just read the news from the last week. An overload of disgusting news that makes Colorado Springs look like it has fallen. What happened?????

@J - When you poke or jab someone with an object it IS a stabbing you doof. People think they are so tough these days, it's rather pathetic. My question is this, why is it when people shoot, beat or stab someone, why do they always run and hide like a cowardly mouse? You're tough enough to do the crime, be tough and take the punishment.

Actually the building's are technically owned by the same person. The Ritz and Johnnies are in the same group of restaurants/bars by the name of Concept. So yes they are owned by the same person using an owner/operator model with input(and decision making) from a main investor.
