Authorities are looking for an Astro Van with some heavy front-end damage. The driver apparently slid off NB I-25 into a State Trooper's cruiser. Instead of stopping, the person behind the wheel sped away.

It happened around 4:35 p.m. Sunday at mile post 274 on NB I-25. Investigators say a silver Chevrolet Astro Van slid and struck an unoccupied State Trooper's patrol car, disabling it completely. The officer had been helping another driver that slid off the road.

The van fled the scene with extreme front-end damage. Neither the trooper or motorist they were helping were injured.

The Colorado State Patrol is asking if anyone witnessed this crash or has any information on the Chevrolet Astro Van please call (303) 239-4501.

How is this funny? The Trooper or motorist stranded been hurt or killed. And since this genius took off, now we the tax payers have to pay for the damage instead of him!

I think this is funny. Glad no one was hurt, I still get a chuckle and a laugh out of it.
