Colorado Springs police are now identifying the two bodies found on Saturday on the 800 block of Skyway Blvd. Police say 44-year-old Pam Sevey shot her husband, 48-year-old Aaron Sevey, before turning the gun on herself.
Police went to the home around 3:30 p.m. Saturday after they got a 911 call from someone who had found the bodies.
Aaron Sevey was a member of the Colorado National Guard. He was with the 947th Engineer Company, and had been injured while serving with the company in Iraq during a 2005-2006 deployment.
The El Paso County Coroner’s office has completed an autopsy and the manner of death for Aaron Sevey was ruled a homicide and the cause of death was due to multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death for Pamela Sevey was ruled a suicide and the cause of death was due to a single gunshot wound.
On her Facebook wall, Pamela Sevey posted a comment about discovering her husband was having an affair in the hours before the shooting.
This is the first homicide in Colorado Springs for 2011.
