A Travel Plaza in Walsenburg was robbed early Thursday morning by two suspects who took an entire cash register.
Police say two tall, skinny people entered the Acorn Travel Plaza at 455 Highway 85/87 North around 12:53 a.m. One of them stood by the counter with what the clerk described as a “baton type of weapon,” while the other jumped over the counter and took a cash register.
The pair left on foot, carrying the register.
Both suspects covered their faces with ski masks and were wearing baggy pants and gloves. One suspect wore a “hoodie” sweatshirt with the number 13 on the back.
Walsenburg Police are asking that anyone with information about this crime call them at 719-738-1044.
