The Drowsy Chaperone (Don Ward)
Updated: 05/20/2013 - Two weekends left to catch one great show!
A scary moment for a Circle K clerk, who was left unharmed after an armed robbery.
The suspect entered the gas station on the 430 block of Garden of the Gods Road at 1:24 a.m., approached the counter and demanded money. When the clerk refused, police say the suspect placed his hand inside his jacket, implying he had a weapon, and repeated his demand. The clerk eventually complied, and the suspect made off with money and a carton of cigarettes.
Police have described the suspect as a white man in his late 20s or 30s, 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a tan zip-up hoodie, jeans and white tennis shoes at the time of the robbery. Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to call police, or call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP to remain anonymous.
