Police say they are now looking for 27-year-old Crystal Espinoza in the shooting of a man Saturday night on N. Hancock in Colorado Springs. The victim was shot in the upper torso, and is still fighting for his life in the hospital. The unnamed 34-year-old is currently in critical condition, but his condition is improving.
Police closed down North Hancock Avenue between Janes Lane and Columbia during the initial investigation. Detectives say 12-15 people were involved in the initial disturbance that led to the shooting, including a mix of teens and adults.
The suspect in the case, Crystal Espinoza, is described as a Colorado Springs resident. She is described as a Hispanic Female 5-feet, 5-inches tall, 160 pounds, black hair, brown eyes.
Police say she fled the scene after the shooting and is currently at-large. There has been a warrant issued for her arrest on the charges of Attempted First Degree Murder.
