A trailer full of electronics was stolen from the Pikes Peak Workforce Center parking lot just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Surveillance video shows an SUV driving on to the property and taking off with the trailer.
Michelle Graham, the business and community initiative director for the center, says the trailer was loaded with nearly $5,000 worth of electronics.
"What we are thinking is when the doors were open and the staff were loading in this equipment, that somebody was silently watching and kind of biding their time," she said.
Graham says the trailer itself cost $5,000, but it’s what was inside that really matters.
A valuable resource to dozens of people like Kevin Treu, who are searching for jobs.
"Why would you want to come here and steal something that everyone needs," Treu said.
Treu says whoever is responsible not only stole from the workforce center, but they also stole from people like him, looking for work.
Graham says the computers were in the trailers because they are used in offices outside of Colorado Springs.
The trailer is described as a white, 2005 Haulmark with Colorado license plate number 529JDE, it also has the Pikes Peak Workforce Center logos painted on both sides.
If you recognize the vehicle in the video or have seen the trailer, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
