Carjacking Reported At Springs 7-Eleven

Police are searching for the suspect in a carjacking early Saturday morning at a convenience store.

The incident happened at a 7-Eleven on 1685 Jet Wing Drive in Colorado Springs.

Police say the victim was in the parking lot when a man came over to his car and stood in front of it, blocking the victim's way out. When the victim asked the man to move, the suspect approached him and pulled a gun to his face. A second man emerged from the shadows and trapped the victim on the other side of the car, also pointing a gun. The victim got out of the car, then the men jumped in and took off.

Officers tracked down the car in the area of Astrozon and Chelton, but have not located the suspects. A man was seen running from the car as police approached, but police were unable to find him after searching the area.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males in their late teens or early 20s, both about 5-foot-9 and thin, dressed in dark clothing at the time of the carjacking.
