Car Chase, Shots Fired Reported In North Springs

A car chase is under investigation.

At 7:38 p.m. Friday, police responded to reports of passengers in a pickup truck chasing a car near the 3800 block of Cherry Plum Drive while firing shots at it. Six spent shell casings of 5.56 millimeter ammunition were recovered, but from there, the case went cold. The victims in the car have not come forward, and suspect information has not been uncovered at this time. Witnesses have reported that the pickup truck was red and was hauling furniture in its bed. The car was described as “light-colored.”

Anyone with any information about this incident are asked to contact police, or to call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
